A Silly Poem

The Mad Scientists

Mad Scientist gathered around in a huddle
Whispering to each other, oh such a muddle
Dr Batty confirmed that the sun is made of cheese
Quiet gentlemen, keep calm, order please

Dr Batty stood proud, grinning like a Cheshire cat
I’m the best, so pass over the mad hatter's cap
No, protests Dr Smartass, I have better for sure
But I didn’t want to show off and be a total bore
Come on, yelled the mad scientists, please do tell
My dear friends, he whispered, the moon is a bell
Every now and again I hear it playing a tune
Maybe we’ll be lucky tonight and hear it soon

And so the madness went on, well into the night
Each telling their findings with such delight
As the lump of cheese was replaced by the ringing bell
Medication was handed out, their excitement to quell
