Do you have nights where you lay there thinking about everything and nothing? When no matter how hard you try you just can't drop off to sleep?.I have two methods that help me sleep, the first is to try and relax every muscle in my body. I start by focussing my mind on my toes and at my toes and slowly work up my body. I find it quite amazing realising how tense my muscle are. Plus because I am focussing my mind on my body it stops me worrying about everything else. After all there is nothing I can do about what has happened and in reality I can't do anything about what is to happen tomorrow. I usually find that I have fallen asleep before I reach my neck and face.
The other tool that I use is a Hop Pillow. I made a little muslim sachet and put in a few handfuls of dried hop flowers and also dried lavender flowers. I place the sachet in my pillow case and it not only has a lovely scent but also helps me to relax and sleep.
