The days are getting warmer

Today the sun has been shining and I can see my very pale skin getting browner. I have again been out in the garden clearing the garden rubbish pile, it seems never ending. Whilst I was out this morning I saw a bee landing in my flowers and managed to capture this photograph. The bee is just to the left of the flower and its shadow is on the flower. Its a shame I caught the shadow of my fingers but its quite a nice photograph.
So what else have I been up too today. After fighting with the garden rubbish I had a little siesta after lunch and then decided to take a shower using vegan seaweed shower gel that I bought at Wikaniko  http://bit.ly/Zr6AvH
Feeling very refreshed I decided make a carrot cake using this recipe http://www.bbc.co.uk/food/recipes/how_to_make_carrot_cake_28928 The cake was successful and really delicious.
I'm really getting into baking. its a good way to use the glut of fresh eggs our
lovely chucks are laying. At the moment the younger four chicks lay one a day and then the older chicken who we call granny lays one egg every other day. Her eggs aren't as rich as the others and the shell tends to be quite brittle but she is getting old for a chicken and as we senior people know things don't seem to work as well as we age.
Colin is calling me for dinner he is a wonderful cook and tonight we are having steak, jacket potato and salad. Yummy.
Well that's it for now take care everyone
Pat
