Growing a Mango Tree

Woke up at 8am this morning and was disappointed to see that we still have rain. This is our third day and I had really forgotten how miserable rain can make you feel. When the rain first came three days ago it was quite nice and gave me an excuse not to go out in the garden to weed. Plus it gave me the opportunity to laze in the house wearing my pyjamas. Now however I'm bored and can't help but think about the number of jobs that need doing in the garden.
Yesterday I had a quick look around the garden and noticed that the nearly ripe cherries have been split by the rain which means that cherries will probably be expensive this year. Plus a large branch on the nispero tree have broken and is hanging on the ground. The branch has mounds of fruit on it so its breaking is probably a combination of the weight of the fruit and the weather. God that means another large branch that we need to burn. The fruit on the branch is likely to rot with all this rain so I will put the fruit in the compost in the hope that the seed don't grow and give us even more nispero trees.
Yesterday we ate a Mango and I'm going to try and grow the seed. It probably wont root but we shall see. I once grew an avocado tree from the pip.Once it got started it really grew tall but I moved before it bore fruit.
